Experience

Dr Fiona Wilson’s transformational coaching provides the foundation of understanding transformational change from a personal, professional and organisational perspective. Passionate about coaching and helping people to develop, Fiona witnessed people struggle with making truly transformative sustainable change and wanted to find out why.

Her PhD studies, combined with over 25 years of professional practice, have now created an understanding of the role of emotions, identity and transformative learning in the change process. This research underpins all aspects of her coaching. A key part of working with clients is to share her work on the neurological implications of the process of change, enabling them to become self-aware and self-directing.

In addition, Fiona is an experienced Senior Lecturer delivering an MA in leadership, innovation and change, enabling her to bring a theoretically informed approach to organisational change. This research informed position is combined with years of supporting teams and organisations to create and implement change. Again, Fiona shares the research informing her approach as part of her coaching, enabling leaders and organisations to become self-managing and empowered within their own continual evolution.

Fiona’s coaching provides the foundational knowledge and understanding of how we biologically process change and enables clients to identify their preferred way of processing and managing change. Combined, this provides the knowledge for a client to engage with the most productive form of coaching possible. Without the combination of these two areas of understanding, change resulting from a coaching process can often be surface level and unsustainable. With these two elements, change is truly transformational.
